Retreat Registration Information
How to Register for a Residential Retreat
Most of our retreats are available for online registration. We also have downloadable forms which can be printed, filled out and sent in by fax (415) 488-1026 or by mail: SRMC Registrars, PO Box 169, Woodacre, CA 94973.
We process applications for residential retreats in order by date received, unless it is a lottery. Lottery retreats have a one-month open registration period. It does not matter when you register within that one-month period.
Registration opens 4 months before the retreat begins (or 5 months before for lottery retreats). For longer retreats of 4-8 weeks, registration opens 6 months prior to the start of the retreat. The open date is listed in the retreat description on the website.
To register for a retreat, go to the calendar listing for the retreat you would like to attend on this website. We strongly prefer that you register online using our online system. If you have trouble registering online you may download the specific forms for the retreat from that same calendar page. You will need Acrobat Reader to open the application PDF. To download Acrobat Reader, visit http://get.adobe.com/reader.
Print out the registration forms, fill them out and send to the registrar with your payment. A credit card form is provided if you wish to pay by Visa or MasterCard. Make checks payable to: SRMC.
If you cannot download the forms, you can either send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or call the Registration Department at (415) 488-0164 x252 or x247 and we can mail you the forms.
Once your registration has been processed, you will receive a retreat confirmation by email with information specific to your retreat. Please read all the information carefully.
IMPORTANT: Your space is not confirmed until you receive an email stating that you are confirmed in the retreat. If you do not get an email within 10 business days, please call (415) 488-0164 x252 or x247 or email us at email@example.com. If the retreat is full by the time we receive your paper application, you will be contacted and given the opportunity to be on the waiting list.
Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation fees are listed in the online registration process, on the registration form, and confirmation letter for each retreat. Please note that cancellation fees increase the closer it gets to the starting date for the retreat. As of 3:00 pm on the last business day before opening day, there are no refunds except for emergencies. Deposits and payments cannot be transferred to another retreat or another person.
Sliding Scale Pricing for Residential Retreats
The fees to attend Spirit Rock retreats are priced on a sliding scale. Please pay at the highest level of the sliding scale that you can afford. This allows others who need to pay less the opportunity to attend. Anyone who pays above the base price will be making a tax-deductible contribution to Spirit Rock. We depend upon donations to subsidize about 25% of overall operating costs. Retreat prices vary with program length.
For retreats where we expect demand to exceed available space, a lottery is used to select retreatants. The lottery will open 5 months before the start of the retreat, and the lottery will take place 1 month after that. We will notify you by e-mail within two weeks after the lottery closes about your status. (Commuter spaces are opened if residential spaces are filled.)
