This is the registration page for the afternoon session for families of middle and teen youth (grades 6-12).

Join in an afternoon of multi-media storytelling with Betsy. Come hear stories she gathered during her musical journey through Asia and Africa, singing with children, women, human rights workers, villagers, teachers, friends. Let’s sing together, play, explore and begin creating a bridge of discovery and friendship between our local family sangha and some of Betsy's new young friends in Asia and Africa.

The morning session is especially for families of younger children (grades 1-5). The afternoon session is for middle school and teen youth (grades 6-12). An all-family picnic lunch at 12:30, with songs and games, will weave the two sessions together. Bring a picnic lunch with a little extra to share. Most importantly, bring your curiosity about the big world we live in. What kind of friend would you like to be? Who would you like to know more about? What do you want to learn, and what do you want to give?

In 2015-16 Betsy traveled for eight months in Thailand, India, Nepal, Europe, Kenya and Liberia. She met and sang with children in Buddhist schools in Thailand, street kids and tribal villages in India, and orphanages and girls empowerment programs in Nepal. She sang with and supported older youth helping rebuild post-earthquake Nepal and forming Peace Clubs in Liberia doing conflict mediation in their schools. Betsy is offering multi-media presentations throughout the Bay Area inviting our local community into this global kinship, and joining with our sisters and brothers who are creating social change in struggling communities of resilience and hope.

Young Adults (18-26) and Seniors (65+ with limited income) are invited to attend this half day event for $25.
