Patricia Sullivan (yoga)
Patricia Sullivan began her yoga practice in 1970, studied in India with BKS and Geeta Iyengar in the 80's, and taught teachers-in-training at the San Francisco Iyengar Yoga Institute through the late 90's. She has taught nationally and internationally for over twenty five years. Her teaching springs from a broad study of the yogic tradition. Breathing practices, Sutra study and chanting, directing the flow of energy through the body, and meditation all play a part in her classes. Patricia has also been a student of the Buddhist tradition of meditation and the practice of compassionate mindfulness in living. This influence results in a teaching style that is non-dogmatic and nonjudgmental as well as exacting in form and methodology.
