"When one thought ends, right before the next thought begins,
there is a tiny gap called 'now.' Over time we learn to expand that gap."

Dharma of Now: Wise Engagement for Difficult Times

After Thursday, May 4, 2017, we will be taking a pause to reorganize the format of Dharma of Now in order to better fulfill the needs of the extended Spirit Rock community, including providing remote access. Please check back here for updates. We will also announce when the program starts up again on social media and in our email newsletters.

"When people get together to share their concern and uncertainty it transmutes the anxiety into positive action, a lived experience of refuge in sangha. As we head into the uncharted waters that lie ahead, this will be the key to making a difference." — James Baraz

Join us as we come together as a community to hold our experiences around current national and world events with compassion and to support one another during this moment of extraordinary change and uncertainty. This time of refuge together includes practices, teachings and discussions that nurture our internal life in support of external service. Each weekly gathering focuses on an issue of particular concern to the community and the world, with the intention of understanding how to respond from the wisdom of the Dharma.

Meets 7:15pm – 9:15pm, Thursdays, in the Community Meditation Center

Cost: $0-30 sliding scale.
