Does liberation have a special meaning for women? How do we translate inner liberation into outer freedom from societal and conditioned restraints? When a wild and precious dream calls to us, what do we trust to impel us through the barriers that may stand in our way?

This daylong will be rooted in exploration of our personal experiences of constraint and freedom, both within ourselves and in our external conditions. Especially at this time, when many gains women have made are under threat, we need the support of community, dharma practice, and the inspiration of each other’s stories of courage and breaking the mold.

Kate Munding and Betsy Rose have both recently embarked on adventurous and unconventional life choices at two very different times of life — Kate teaching the Dharma as a young mother, Betsy as an elder, solo world traveler. Their experiences of choice, risk and faith will begin a mutual conversation in an intergenerational community of women. The day will weave together guided practice, dialogue, song and teachings.

The compelling urgent question from Mary Oliver’s poem "The Summer Day" inspires us to explore our answers, our questions, our fears and our hopes: “Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?”

Young Adults (18-26) and Seniors (65+ with limited income) are invited to attend this day for $45.
