This simple yet delicious snack combines the sweetness of ripe figs with creamy goat cheese, all atop a cracker or crostini. Finished with sweet herbs, olive oil, and a hint of chili flakes, it’s the perfect treat for a warm day. Enjoy this delightful combination whenever figs are in season!
Ingredients
- 6 large crackers or homemade crostini
- 8 oz Laura Chenal fresh goat cheese
- 1 bunch tarragon
- 1 bunch mint
- Fennel fronds
- 1 pint Green Kadota or Black Mission figs
- Chili flakes
- Olive oil
Instructions
- Pick tarragon and mint of the stems. Take the larger leavesa dn chop them while reserving the smaller leaves
- Mix chopped herbs into goat cheese
- Spread goat cheese on crackers or crostini
- Cut figs in slices and wedges and place on goat cheese
- Sprinkle smaller leaves of mint, tarragon and fennel fronds on top
- Sprinkle a little bit of chili lake and drizzle olive oil on top to finish
- Serve!
