Figs with Goat Cheese and Sweet Herbs

This simple yet delicious snack combines the sweetness of ripe figs with creamy goat cheese, all atop a cracker or crostini. Finished with sweet herbs, olive oil, and a hint of chili flakes, it’s the perfect treat for a warm day. Enjoy this delightful combination whenever figs are in season!

Ingredients

  • 6 large crackers or homemade crostini
  • 8 oz Laura Chenal fresh goat cheese
  • 1 bunch tarragon
  • 1 bunch mint
  • Fennel fronds
  • 1 pint Green Kadota or Black Mission figs
  • Chili flakes
  • Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Pick tarragon and mint of the stems. Take the larger leavesa dn chop them while reserving the smaller leaves
  2. Mix chopped herbs into goat cheese
  3. Spread goat cheese on crackers or crostini
  4. Cut figs in slices and wedges and place on goat cheese
  5. Sprinkle smaller leaves of mint, tarragon and fennel fronds on top
  6. Sprinkle a little bit of chili lake and drizzle olive oil on top to finish
  7. Serve!
