"One thing I love about this practice is that whatever needs to show up shows up. If there's something that needs to be attended to or cared for, there's always space. Everything is welcome. Cultivating equanimity gives us the opportunity to be present for any type of experience in our life, for any range of experiences, independent of the conditions. The cultivation of the bramavihāras—the qualities of the heart that sustain and nourish us—also gives us an orientation of how we can connect with ourselves and others in a way that is caring, loving, and respectful."
