We practice being with the body from the inside out. Turning inward we discover an internal landscape that’s always changing— full of emotions, thoughts, opinions, and sensations. All of these things inform us, whether we know it or not, and that’s what mindfulness helps to shine a light on. We see how our avoidance of a certain sensation, or attachment to a view, manifests in the body, and then turns into a reaction, but the more we become familiar with this inner landscape, the more we step out of reactivity and into responsiveness.

Coming Home to the Body: A Daylong Insight Retreat for the Asian Diaspora

This retreat offers a sacred space to pause and reconnect to the wisdom of our bodies. Grounded in the Buddha's teachings on the establishment of mindfulness through the body, we will explore what it is to come home to ourselves, each other, and our true nature. Whether you're new to meditation or have an established practice, this retreat welcomes you. Together, we'll create a virtual saṅgha, honoring our shared humanity and celebrating the beauty of our diverse Asian identities.

Mindfulness for Everyone

12 CE Credits.

Registration Open. Mindfulness offers us tools to develop our capacity to pay attention, regulate emotions, and cultivate states of lovingkindness, compassion, and even-mindedness. In this retreat we will practice mindfulness through sitting and walking meditation, as well as through lectures and the opportunity to meet with teachers who will guide our practice. While rooted in the Buddhist practice of mindfulness, this retreat will also focus on the practical applications of mindfulness and the range of ways to practice it.

Finding Home in Sangha: A Retreat for Asian Heritage Community

Open to: Self-identified community of Asian heritage (including Central, East, North, South, Southeast, and West Asian ancestry)

Registration Opens - February 19. This retreat invites folks of the Asian diaspora into a kinship of experience, holding the paradox of identity and history in balance with the Buddha’s ultimate pointing toward truth and liberation. Held in the wisdom and compassion of the Dharma, the community can move toward a collective healing, appreciating its connectedness and difference. Rather than seeking the perfect external conditions, we’ll support each other in finding solace, comfort, and the joy that can be sourced from our relationship to experience.
